Originally founded in 1833, Chicago is one of the most diverse and exciting urban centers in the United States. It is well known today as an industrial city, with many factories and other production-based businesses located throughout the Chicago Metropolitan Area, which stretches into neighboring states as well.

The winter months in Chicago are quite cold with a lot of rain, snow, and vicious winds. This is why the city is often referred to as "the windy city".

Many visitors also come regularly to attend theater productions, jazz festivals and concerts, and to enjoy the active nightlife which includes bars, parties, and a lot of comedy clubs.

The O'Hare International Airport is also located in Chicago, and since it ranks as one of the most active airports in the entire world, it makes this city one of the first destinations of visitors from all over the world. This has contributed to the rich local community with a vast array of races and religions blending together.
